Before I
leave you for a few days, feast your eyes on some of the wonderful photographs
I’ve encountered on Pinterest this week. If you haven’t joined this site,
please do so. It’s so much fun... and highly addictive! Well, well, I’m off to bed. I
have a freakishly early plane to catch. MC is meeting me at 4h45 am. Rise and shine! I wish you all a great
week, a wonderful weekend, and especially a happy Easter. I’ll miss you,

Packing
Tonight,
I’m excitedly packing for my trip! The girls and I have shared numerous phone calls
and emails asking: “What are you wearing to the club?” “How many pairs of shoes
are you packing?” “Do I take my big suitcase or my really big suitcase?” For
all you travellers, here is my short-ish list of things to pack for a five-day
trip to NYC. (Why bother packing too much when you are travelling to Shopping-Heaven?)
-
1 coat
-
1 scarf
-
1 blazer
-
1 pair of jeans
-
2 party tops (these should work for both day and
night)
-
1 party dress (I’m lying – who packs one? What
if the other one is cuter on you that day? We are entitled to freedom of choice,
no?)
-
3 tank tops or T-shirts
-
2 sweaters
-
1 pair of flats
-
1 pair of high heels
-
1 pair of flat boots
-
A largish purse
-
An evening clutch
-
1 umbrella (the rule of thumb is: pack an
umbrella and it won’t rain.)
-
Jewelry
-
Undergarments (People, don’t be stingy. I once went
on a camping trip and didn’t pack enough underwear. Don’t let it happen to you.
The moral of this story is: don’t go camping.)

Yellow 1957 / 2012
Show me some good art and some cute clothes, and I’m a happy girl. I
couldn’t resist this combination: Yves Klein’s Monochrome jaune sans titre (M 8),
from 1957 and this cheetah top and yellow skirt... circa 2012!

April Fools
Today is April
Fools, known as Poisson d’avril in
French. My grandmother’s birthday was on April 1st and I remember
her saying it was dreadful because she was extra-pranked all day long. When I
was a kid, I used to love this day. I
would spend the night before cutting out all kinds of colourful paper fish to
stick on people's backs at school. Oh, the delight when you would get away with
it! (Giggle, giggle) Clearly, I was not a very mischievous child... Are you
planning any pranks today?
